Under the aim of reaching a hundred thousand volunteers, at Yangcheon Volunteer Center, over 2,500 volunteers under over 250 groups are practicing the spirit of service and improving their quality & professionalism through regular education & training.
'Angel Day' a volunteers' festival held every Oct. 4th, is a beautiful event for rewarding their labor, cultivating friendship and inducing others to take interest in volunteering with motivation.

'Haenuri Food Market' opened on Dec. 2004 is the 1st food market installed & operated by the basic self-governing bodies all over the country. The Food Market is a permanent free market centered on users. Poor people visit a market & select and use food for themselves from donations of food left over during the processes of production, distribution, and sales. It's operated as a membership system and allows 4~5 items per month for free.

Yangcheon Welfare Foundation was established on Dec. 2005 to overcome the welfare administration system problems faced by government today, centering on financial resources delivery and efficient use of the regional welfare resources. It collects financial resources from 'Yangcheon Love Aid Association' & fund-raising and offers various supports for low-income residents.
