The circle in the center represents the sun and three lines surrounding it symbolizes the future-oriented developments. In addition, the shape of waves means a stream and expresses the dynamic Yangcheon Gu.

The sunflower is related to the name of the district and its blooming shape toward the sun represents the unity & strength of Yangcheon's people.

Persimmon trees have been popular in our region since old days. The red ripe persimmon in autumn makes us feel nostalgia and represents love to our region.

The pheasant, our folk & native bird lives everywhere in the hills and has been much loved for its long clearly-colored tail since old days.

It was designed through impersonating the Sunflower of Yangcheon Gu's flower. The design specially aimed at representing the image of Yangcheon as a place of life in comfort, constant development, and new revival.
